Information on the conditions for LGBT people in Guinea is very scarce.

Both male and female same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Guinea.

 

Legislation

Male to male relationships: Not legal

Punishments for male to male relationships: Imprisonment of up to 3 years

Female to female relationships: Not legal

Marriage and substitutes for marriage: No law

 

Article 325 prohibits same-sex sexual activity with a maximum penalty of 3 years imprisonment and a fine of up to 1 million Guinean francs. This maximum penalty is enforced if one of the offenders are under 21 years of age.

There have not been any prosecutions under this law for nearly a decade.
